2009 was a fantastic year at Jolly Giant. Early in the year we renovated a classroom at our Irwin Street location and opened up another infant and toddler program which has proven to be a great success.
Our summer BBQs were a hit again in both Victoria and Nanaimo and everyone enjoyed a good meal, fantastic entertainment, and the company of one another.
In the fall I introduced a new childcare management software and accounting software to Jolly Giant that streamlined a lot of the tasks we do and will reduce some of our paperwork requirements allowing all of us more time to spend with the children.
December was a fantastic month filled with Christmas spirit which was clearly demonstrated by all the participants in the Christmas concerts. Santa showed up at the Nanaimo concerts once again as a pleasant surprise to the children. Unfortunately Santa crashed up his sleigh a little bit on route to the Victoria concert and he could not make it. But because Santa is not someone who disappoints, he made an appearance at the Victoria centre and had a visit with all the kids there!
Well, that is a quick look back at 2009. I can hardly wait to see what exciting things happen at JGC in 2010!
